so i’ve been “furloughed”
on the one hand I will be able to get my haircut and maybe see a movie in a theater and go grocery shopping when it’s not pitch dark
but on the other hand.

and my district manager’s reaction to me saying: “I can handle two days (off)” (through theoretically gritted teeth)
was: “oh man, I couldn’t.”
like, woman, this is a temporary seasonal job….You better thank your stars that our office is competent enough to handle itself. You better thank your stars I don’t need that money yesterday. If I was someone else I could.
like, I can, I who make far, far less than you and don’t get a full-time gig out of this?

the most insane video i’ve ever seen is the one where that guy claims that snowpiercer is the sequel to willy wonka and then actually makes it make sense. like to the degree where it’s hard not to see it as one due to the oompa-loompa proof

Yeah, I had to remind myself that it (Penelope) was a 2006 movie. I loved Reese in it :)
I also spent most of the movie just wondering how Mr. Bingley could look like 5 years younger or something to me in this movie.
for real, though, why do recipes consistently tell you to use less herbs and spices in than you should. fuck your “two cloves of garlic,” fuck your “half teaspoon of cinnamon,” and you can absolutely go to hell with your “dash of black pepper”
I’m pretty sure that the only time I’ve ever actually managed to overseason food was when working with balsamic vinegar, which is the most overpowering motherfucker of a sauce known to man
